Whisper of Peace

The ashes move like breathing sand,
Each spark a soul the dark forgot.
I kneel to hear the silence stand,
Where peace was lost… and now is not.

The wind is thin, but still it hums,
Through broken doors and sleeping drums.
No flag remains, no name to blame,
Just shadows learning light again.

Whisper of peace, don’t fade away,
Hold what’s left of yesterday.
We’ve seen too much to dream the same,
But still you call — through smoke, through rain.

The river bends where blood once ran,
The stones remember every hand.
But quiet grows where fire slept,
And mercy blooms where ghosts have wept.

The wind is thin, but still it hums,
Through broken doors and sleeping drums.

Whisper of peace, don’t fade away,
Hold what’s left of yesterday.
We’ve seen too much to dream the same,
But still you call — through smoke, through rain.

Maybe peace was never loud.
Maybe it was always here —
in the breath between two broken hearts,
learning how to hear again.

Whisper of peace, stay till dawn,
Teach the dark where light has gone.
If war must sleep, then let it dream —
of hearts unbound, and fields redeemed.
