War & Peace was born the moment I found my true voice in Echoes of the Night.
Those songs opened a door — a darker, deeper tone, a cinematic world where emotion carried more weight than genre.
And once that door opened, I felt pulled toward a story much bigger than myself.

The American Civil War has always struck me in a way no other war does — not because of strategy or battles, but because of the unbearable truth at its core: slavery.
The suffering, the silence, the stolen lives… those echoes are still here today.
And what moved me even more was how easily people forget the full picture:
millions of enslaved people endured unimaginable pain,
and over 300,000 white Union soldiers died fighting to end that horror.
Their sacrifice is rarely honored in modern music, rarely even spoken of.
But it deserves to be remembered — loudly.

War & Peace is not a cowboy story,
not an outlaw fantasy,
not another Western trope.
It’s a journey into a part of history where real people suffered, fought, and changed the world — and where the cost of human dignity was paid in blood.

This album is my way of honoring that truth.
Not by recreating violence,
but by showing the echoes it left behind —
the memory, the courage, the heartbreak,
and the quiet hope that still rises from it.

War & Peace is not just an album.
It’s a remembrance.
A reflection.
And a call to never forget what was endured,
and what was sacrificed,
so that freedom could finally breathe.
